The large number of posts a bad thing?

I have joined to enjoy.
I'm getting a lot of information here.
And I enjoy the interaction with other participants.

Many Japanese seem to Head-Fi browsing.
I where the number of posts is many seem that is heresy.

Many of my post.
It's followed the rules.

I do not aim to compete for posts.
Enjoyed a result, a large number of posts a bad thing?

How about listening and posting at the same time?

A lot of posts just shows you're really active in the head-fi community.  The only danger comes if you start to enjoy talking about gear more than actually using it...

Yes. Less time posting, more time listening!

Not like I can talk...

And I thought I had a high post number per day...

No, as long as what you post is relevant, it doesn't really matter. You should only feel bad if your 2900+ posts are troll posts. If playing a music game is bad, then talk to DLeeWebb (Spelling?)

I post a lot in the Music Game thread. Its amazing that many of the titles are rock & roll from the '60s to the '80s.
And yes, it encourages me to listen more to music that brought me enjoyment on this hobby from Baroque, Classical,
Reggae, Jazz, Soft/Hard/Metal Rock, New Age, R&B, even some Rap.

On the equipment forum side, it keeps me up to date on technology, past and present. Like yesterday I was looking for the best
sounding 5670 vacuum tube for rolling and when I googled it, it returned me back to head-fi. Its already been discussed here before.

Posts no longer matter to me. If there is something worth mentioning - in my opinion - a post will follow. In the old Head-Fi you had this average number of posts per day counter which was fun keeping at 5 or higher in the beginning. But as you filter through what you find relevant and interesting sometimes what you thought is already to be found written in a thread, blog or review...

Head-Fi's low in the Japanese post Why?

Unfortunately, the Japanese seem to love the anonymity.
The perspective of an anonymous slander. Hurt yourself.

Depends. Some folks (like Erik up there) got that many posts by helping, putting down useful comments and occasionally the funny stuff (correct me if I'm wrong, please).
Me, on the other hand, probably 2/3 of my post count is either semi-trolling or writing useless stuff. I messed myself to 1500 posts, so what? Did I contribute? No. Did I help the community? More like damaged it somewhat.
Post count means nothing. Supremus don't mean a Damn thing.

I think that you're a cool guy, don't be so harsh! I used to be purely a Member's Lounge dude, so the vast majority of my postings were likely pointless. We can't all measure up to the Good Unkle's benchmark.

T.IIZUKA, as long as you keep posting about gear that you have heard and giving your real, true impressions you're doing above average in this community. Speculation posts and posts from members that can somehow form an opinion based purely on brand and hearsay are the biggest problem. #2 is that the Member's Lounge is a bit less goofy than it used to be (not that I was around during the heyday) :)
