The JVC FX850..Woodie perfection?. (A review)

Good noise isolation from IEM cuts down noise coming from the environment and will allow you to LOWER the volume, which is safer for your hearing and a major benefit of using IEM. What you are described isn't noise isolation, but noise masking (that is, using high volume to mask external noise), which goes against what we consider as a good practice for using headphone in general. Do note that once you damage your hearing, not able to listen to music will likely be the last of your concern.

So i guess the FX850 has pretty bad isolation lol.
Anyone know how do AX35/AX60 compare to FX850 or DN1000?
I see a lot of people not liking them, anyone has experience with these?

FX series, if you look closely, is like an open back design. Isolation is out the windows, even when I go fishing. Anyways, once the music if on, it is golden :)

I must thank james444 again for inventing such wonderful mod for fx850, which makes them so enjoyable! I could clearly hear the improvement with mod! To me, with the mod, they feel more spacious, clearer, have better separation, more enjoyable mids, yet still good and enough bass for me!

After about 1.5 months of using FX850s I'm a very satisfied and feel the iems have improved and settled down. May be its just my brain burn in rather than the iem burn in. Either way these are excellent with good amount of bass but at the same time the bass doesn't overpower the vocals. Awesome...!!!

Even their flagship FX1100 is made in China (see photo of box). I'm pretty sure the FX850 is too.
