Had FX700 before, impressed by its bass.
Now enjoying my modded (james444 version, both front and back) FX850. It's fantastic!
Bought used for $150, which is really an incredible bargain!

Did simple comparison with my friends sen momentum 2.0, I definitely love my fx850 more!

The only complaint I could make is the isolation is not perfect.

So after 1 year of using these iems, I still love them!
Agree that isolation isn't the best, but I use these for a lot of concert recordings and it's just amazing how good it is.. it makes me feel like I'm at the concert lol

I think that even in stock form, they surpass the FX700. But modded, there's simply no comparison.

I really wish I could demo the FX1100. I have a feeling I may love the sound, but it is hard to justify a purchase when I own the FX850 already...

Just got these today. Massive sound yes, haven't heard the fx700's in a while but overall these seem like some damn good dynamics.

Question, I actually feel like the high end is taking a back seat. Treble/cymbals/high synth is a bit less prominent than mids (and bass but that will tame). Burn-in will get the highs up a bit?

Using stock spiral med tips. On the fx700 the Monster hybrid supertips were awesome (white), but on the 850s the bass seemed too massive with those.

Besides j444mod, which tips help an airier sound, more focused on highs?

***EDIT*** user small foam tips included, highs much higher ( with slight sq deduction). Used small silicone tips, more balanced overall with a loose seal.

Just sold my woodies today, I would be lying if I said I wasn't gonna miss them they had the best sound I have ever heard from a single driver iem. My only complaint was the size and long term comfort I also prefer headphones with a sleeker profile my favorite being the red 535's. I

How do they compare to the Ostry KC06a soundwise when both run on a laptops onboard soundcard?
They outshine the ostry in every way. Bass extention is better, mids are fantastic, treble is better as well. Detail retrieval & imaging is not even close. They
