How do they compare to your other high ends lee:blush:

I did compare them to the 1Plus2 earlier on in the thread if you care to look back. They definitely do hit high for their pricing. But in terms of technicality and sheer refinement they fall short when comparing. But the timbre is one of the best I've heard in terms of how natural it sounds.

Oh man, I am loving these right out of the box. There is a lot of body and presence to the sound, and yet nice clarity and details also. I think I like them even better with the Hifiman 802 than the Tera, but then the Tera is not known to work well with low impedance phones.

The 850s sound better than my full size Sony Ma900s which were my favorite....until today.

Interesting observation. I just noticed the FX750 priced at $190 on Amazon Japan. I suspect while the FX750 is not quite the FX850 in sound it should be fairly close and at the price they are going for now could be a nice alternative to the FX850.. From what I am seeing they have the exact same build, housing and tech as the FX850 but minus the detachable silver coated OFC cable the FX850 has.

I bet the FX750 sound excellent. Just a guess. They are getting solid reviews on Amazon Japan.

Just a guess but I don't think it will be bassier than the FX850 might not be as controlled however probably a bit less detailed but should have a similar sound balancing to the FX850.  The point is the FX750 at $190 seems like a gamble worth taking. Especially for guys that want to try a Wood JVC but don't want to spend for the FX850.  The FX650 is selling for $160 by the way and we should have an idea of what those will be like from Danny real soon.
