When you wear the ZMF Ori, is there supposed to be any pressure of the earpads to your skull? I never had any pressure on my ears when I had them, so I never got a good seal (I am assuming this is why I did not get a good seal). I am a touch worried since my head is a little rounder than most peoples (Hifiman Ananda for example, fell all the way down on my head, even on its shortest setting, my top ear was curling because it was hitting the pad quite a bit. So the distance from my ear to top of my head is a little off compared to most people I guess.

I am hoping Zach's other cans support oddly shaped heads like mine, or will have lower settings. Perhaps I can show you what I mean in person during the meet and some of you can give me some pointers. I have tried well over 100 headphones over the years, and I seem to come across this problem a lot, where I do not get the same seal as other people. ZMF Cowhide pads have helped a ton with this issue since they are so large, they sort of force a little seal for me, but they work for a very small percentage of cans. AKG K7xx fit perfect and are very comfortable though, so I am not sure what the deal is.

Pretty excited--- we have a healthy dose "YES!" RSVPs in the private google doc! Also.... you may come for the gear-- but you'll stay for the snacks table. I give my word it will be a tribute to the best of American high calorie processed foods. Moist towelettes will be on hand for Cheetos dust. I just can't wait.

Cheetos where pheasant wood will be present? @zach915m you sure are a brave young lad trusting us with cheesy fingers and $2400 headphones... :xf_eek:

might I advise a different snack just to be on safe side? Personally all my cans are budget so I don't care to much, but if I had 1 grand + cans, I am not sure I would Cheetos to be anywhere near them, but even a moist towelette won't get all that cheesy grease off the fingers... just saying :p

I really think this is the beauty of meets. We will have so much gear and knowledge in the room. You will get to try out so many combinations of headphones and earpads that I am pretty certain you should be able to dial in something "just right." The Golidlocks property! Zach also really likes giving demos on how to adjust our headbands for clamp.

I will be there and I will have my Audeze LCD-X and iFi Nano BL with me for sharing experiences with others. I'm looking forward to trying ZMF headphones. Also would like to try some headphone amps to go with my 36-pound behemoth of a DAC, the Audio-gd Singularity 7 but I won't have that DAC with me.

Well I've decided I'll be attending this, gonna drive out from Michigan. Looking at bringing Beyerdynamic DT-1990's, SR-X Mark III's, Stax SR-001 Mark 2, Sennheiser HD-424X, and some highly modified version of the Sennheiser HD-598 and an old ortho, the Yamaha HP-1000. Maybe some Nakamichi tape decks and perhaps a custom turntable as well.

I will definitely be showing up. Plenty of stuff I'd love to try and bringing some of my own gear as well (will set up a table for it all). Of note I will be bringing my TEAC UD-501 (dac), Schiit Mjolnir 2 (hp amp), and Hifiman HE-1000 v1. Also hoping to turn some people on to estats by bringing the SRM-T1 and SR-404 Limited/SR5 earspeakers. I'll poke around my collection and see what else I can bring that isn't too commonly seen/heard.

What's wrong with Chicago's weather?

Normally I don't mind the wind, or the cold (I live up in Milwaukee) but Chicago is the only place where I've felt like the wind was intentionally slapping me in the face.

That said, this sounds like lots of fun. Will try to make it down!

I used to go to the meets in the west suburbs before axpona started. I missed those meetings they were a lot of fun. I even met joe manzilla there. You can meet some interesting people at these meets. I am glad I saw the blog. I have not visited head fis site in a long time. So I am glad I did or I would have missed this blog. I am going to try to make the meet. Maybe bring a set up. Hopefully I can make it.

After the snacks, the Airing of Grievances?

*** Zach stands up at the table, "I got a lotta problems with you people, and now you're going to hear about it!"***

I actually work a few blocks away, so this will be an easy trip for me.

Happy to bring goodies too..

Hugo 2 / Focal Utopia / iBasso SR1 / Senn HD 800, and manybe some oddball stuff.

Question: I’m really interested in the Verite and Aeolus headphones, and will likely pre-order... just not sure which one. Any chance they will be available for testing?
