Pleased to meet you, fellow oatmeal-er :beerchug:

I have the "Why I believe printers were sent from hell" poster in my office. I work as an IT Specialist at the HQ of an international chain of retail stores...

Received the dx50 from mp4nation! So far very satisfied and does not seem buggy.

Whoever designed the brainwavz r3 should be shot.

why, br3 sound not bad, yep cable is stiff and shells are not most comfortable but one can gat used to it, but sound is ok and better than average consumer iem imho.

Btw one question to dx50 owners, i still did not have time for it but does dx50 support Cue lists files for flac or wav?

ah... I just read dx50 does not support cue files... why the heck colorfly does? I feel pissed all over, my ak100 does not do as well, so i am stuck with two nice DAPs but only small cheapo c3 can do!!! Cool :frowning2:

big thanks for pointing to the manual thread, many thanks to all who cared to create this.

I used to have cue files on my laptop, before transferring them to my dx50 i just used foobar to convert the audio file to suit the cue for that particular album..only takes a few secs to do an album (or a few days if you have a large library of music :p )

god i wasted so much time ripping CDs in the late 90s. took like an hour per album. and 128kbit because storage space was so precious

now... seconds! amazin.

I wasn't talking about ripping albums, but splitting a single audio file using the cue sheet produced during the original ripping process.. I cant be having single audio files in my library, thats the ocd in me i guess lol

Hmm, then there seems to be something wrong with the tagging on my file, because when i copy all the music over in one lump, the player  stops scanning after only a few albums (say 20 out of 120).

I've been copying music over in lots of 3-5 albums and so far it has been working.   But I wonder if either XLD or Phile is doing something funny with the rips.

I also use XLD to convert files to ALAC and never had any issues so far.

i left the player on continuous burn,
on a single charge it passed the 20hr!! on "all songs" shuffle mode and didn't turnd off ..

when i checked, it had a signle battery bar that a min later disappeared, i think cause of the screen and pretty sure it could squeeze another hour or so
so i tunred it off to charge it for the next burn

That they're hard of hearing and shout all the time, I think. On the other hand, my Dad's been receiving invitations he can't respond to since he wasonly 50 (and he's still just 53 now), so I don't really know how they got his address

lol - I'm your dad's age and got bombarded by AARP.  They can smell 50 a mile away.  Not sure how they get the addresses - must be NSA or something.
