I, and many others, did not find the C5 to be warm sounding nor "heavy".

What do you mean bulky and heavy when paired with the DX50? it's the same size as the DX50.. And also, I'm sure it would've been your IEMs that had influenced the warm sound on the amp.

(Each to their own.

)

When comparing the C5 to the O2 I did find it to be slightly warmer, with multiple headphones. But it could also be due to the added detail the O2 gives.
I'm not saying the C5 is actually warm, as in most fiio amps. But it sure is slightly smooth/warm compared to the O2. But maybe the O2 is slightly on the colder side.

And when I said heavy I wasn't describing the sound, but the weight when paired with the DX50. Try putting that stack in your inner pocket of your coat without having one side of you coat hanging 10cm lower than the other!

I spent the last two days listening to the Heaven VI directly from the DX50 headphone out. I love the portability and the sound is warm and compelling. (1.2.2, brethren!)

I sure would like to stick with this. It is plenty musical. (1.2.2, brethren!) Detail isn't bad at all. The convenience is fantastic. Things is: this evening I just reattached my Pico Power. DX50 + PP + HVI = ...heaven.

The DX50 headphone out really is good. From the line out it is a fine, fine source. The Pico Power continues to amaze me.

(I have some heavy duty, i.e. thick, 3M Dual Lock that has arrived at my office. It might be time to lose the rubber band. On the other hand, I have a Miniaudio silicon case arriving at Jaben. Bit of a contradiction there.)

First of all thanks to you, I ended up getting a Pico Power now I can sit nicely on my wallet without feeling and money lumps. :D

The amp is a wonder, everything you said about it is right on the button. I am loving it and it feels so solid. I also got good quality li-ion batteries for it I am still yet to change them after three days of use.

I also got my two heavy dura lock strips. It works great maybe too great. I think I might have to buy some lighter ones. It sticks like cement, so much that the glue does not hold it any longer. I think you need to use the light one if you want to take it off and on regularly.

I ended up going with the cheapie cable because I am a cheapo asian

and also because my Apex Glacier arrives next week and the shipping times of all of them are too long for me to withstand the wait.

Nothing wrong with that why do you think I put them there.

The Pailiccs connectors are built like tanks, you can literally run over with your car and they'll work great, hefty little fella. :D

I'm interested in this cable, too. Found a much less expensive on-line seller:

Damn that does looks like one sexy cable. And it's cheap too! Shame the cable's a bit too long to be of any use to me

I'm reading the specs for OTG + USB charging cables, and they all say that it will NOT power the device, it will only power the USB device (in this case it would be the flash drive or hard disk used for OTG).

Is this accurate? Is it not possible to charge the DX50 while using OTG? Are there different cables, one of which can charge it?

Lunashops is basically a warehouse of cheap knock-offs, count on their goods being fakes.

Search ebay for "USB OTG y-split" and ye shall be rewarded.

I want to make an order off of newegg because I have some other things to buy on there.

On cables such as this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA39V17U4986, which look the same as the ones on ebay, it says "Can charge the extral USB device , like usb flash disk, usb hard disk NOTICE: (cannot charge the phone or tablet)"

Similar to some other ones as well. Is there a different classification of cable I have to look for, or is this usually a DEVICE limitation and the DX50 does not have it?
