DX50 can drive a 600 Ohm T1 a bit more than loud enough at hi gain, volume level at 250. 255 is too loud for me.  Amazing no noticeable distortion so far. I'm not going to compare DX50 yet to my M8, I'm still burning in this baby.

Just received the DX50, so far very impressed with the sound quality!

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm having some problems regarding the tagging of album tracks that I have ripped into flac through Foobar, that is the DX50 does not recognise the correct track order

Anyone have any solutions or ideas on the best way to work around this problems?

Cheers

I'll keep the DX50, it is a great sounding player after all. But still getting the sony zx1 + pha-2 combo in a month, I can't resist trying them out :p

Hows the pico power doing, tell me whether to get the quickstep or the PP!  I'm itching for a good amp!

I just ordered a Quickstep this morning, the ability to use it with a power supply won me over as I do most of  my listening at my desk

Still looking forward to the QS vs PP comparison!

I have Quickstep and DX50 both somewhere in motion toward me. Gonna be overexciting times soon.

Hopefully the DX50 understands this and plays nice with me:)

Not sure if I'm gonna actually commute with Quickstep or just go with DX50. Time will tell if the SQ difference is big enough to warrant the added weight.

Purchased a Samsung battery. Actually noticed some sonic differences - preferring the Pisen.

Think batteries require burn in too?

If TaoBao already have these in stock would they be purchasable from someone like MisterTao atm?

yes, this is possible.... but the only drawback would be snail speed of delivery. otherwise i find them good and reliable. just look for merchant with Diamond star which means best reputation.

oi, batteries seriously do alter sq, don't be ridiculing us with golden ears, you don't see us poking fun at people with bad ears

teehee!
in fact if you really paint coat your ears with gold, your hearing spectrum frequency range increases 10 fold! =D
