Here are preliminary numbers. single ended. 
 
At 10x gain, at 1khz, the output impedance is between .2 and .3 ohms
at 10x gain at 20khz the output impedance is between .4 and .5 ohms
 
at 1x gain at 1khz, the output impedance is less than .1 ohm
at 1x gain at 20khz the output impedance is less than .2 ohms
 
I can't put enough voltage into the back end of the resistor to accurately measure
the signal at the output of the gsx.
 
Measuring balanced is also not going to be so easy, i may use an isolation transformer
for this, but it almost has to be double the impedance above.

Can you confirm what transformers are going into this first run of the new GS-X?  I have conflicting values right now at 25VA and 35VA.

they're 25VA per channel.  each channel uses about 10 watts

No mixed signal in numbers and timelines caused that mix up.  Old model, prototype transformers... 15VA, new model, production transformers 25VA.  Sorry for confusing people.

I changed my mind on colors, went from black/red led to silver/blue led.  Sticking with DACT.  The pictures of the silver faced BHSE's did me in considering the front panels are now coming polished.

ok guess i'm doing the LEDs myself then.  having the circuit board people build the boards with the right vol ctrl AND the right LED color = not gonna happen.

I don't think either situation is a good idea.  You send out 25 boards with different LEDs and then ask for 19 DACT, 6 Alpha and expect the pots to come back on the right LEDs... not likely.

Although I don't see myself going for any of those options, it would be quite a treat to see some.

What, almost 0.5 ohm of output impedance, disaster!! How am I going to drive my high efficiency 2ohm speakers through this thing??

I'm in for the new GS-X also, but I opted for plain ol' boring black. As much as I love silver gear and would be curious to see a color like red, I'd rather have the faceplate match the rest of my gear. Plus it's more inconspicuous in my setup, so the WAF goes way up.
