Nah, since Windows isn't optimized for Mac hardware (which makes sense and doesn't at the same time), usually Macs suffer a hit in battery performance whenever you run Windows on them.  Retinas for example go from 8-9 hours to around 5-6 on Windows.................then again it could just be Windows' habit to drink power like there's no tomorrow.

Real-world tests show it's around 700mbps.  That's still a helluva lot faster than anything else out there that isn't a custom-built desktop.
 
Macs are good for:  Ease of use/user friendly, beautiful hardware, little maintenance required
PC's are good for:  price/performance ratio, customization, gaming
 
..............really neither require much maintenance if you know what you're doing......in other words, you know enough about computers to have the common sense of knowing what not to click on I can't believe it's 2014 and people are still getting phished.

in other news today, Beats suck because they're cool.

Those are the 512 gb drives. The 1TB SSD drives are much faster. Here is a screenshot from such a drive in the Retina Macbook Pro. It pretty much destroys any PC laptop reaching close to 1gb/s.

  Ok and maybe Jordans are good shoes for people who actually play basketball. 1. But, for people who just want to look cool you can probably get a pair that's just as fashionable for less.   Sure for DJs beats might be worth it.  Appearance is a good portion of their job.  2. But, for the average joe looking for the best pair of headphones at a certain price point Beats won't be at the top of the list.

The beats pro detox used to be the most expensive headphone sold by Beats (not counting the chrome edition, because it was by Colorware, same with the other mods that weren't by Beats).

Well, lets get back to beats!! So, CB, what do the mixr's sound like?

For DJ headphones, the sound is relatively flat - they have less bass than Sennheiser HD25's!

The beats mixr's still have decent bass of course, but not at the expense of the mids which appear raised slightly to prevent any bass override, though in general the sound is very balanced.

One thing about these cans - they can play LOUD - these are by far the loudest cans out of all the beats range and majority of other brand DJ cans too. They play very loud without distortion which nobody would listen to at max volume of course unless deafness is something you are aiming at, but this simply means that the 40mm drivers are never pushed to their extremities, and there's plenty of distortion free music playback at more normal levels, but if in a club environment for DJ application where it's a loud environment - the mixr's have plenty in reserve should it be needed.

For personal listening the mixr's are also excellent, however the clamping force is quite strong, due to these being designed for DJ use, so prolonged listening may be uncomfortable. I've read owners of mixr's leaving their cans opened up over the retail box they come in over night for a week or so to reduce the clamping force down to a more comfortable level if only use is personal listening rather than any pro DJing.

Very accomplished DJ headphones, with a lot of design and thought gone into them for sure, I absolutely love them

Maybe... Just maybe... Beats were created to capture people using terrible, cheap headphones, and convert them into buying more expensive headphones that will slowly but surely change (for the better) to hi-fi sound, thus creating armies of audiophiles!
