They look sweet. I'm heading down later this afternoon to give them a listen, but I think I may succumb to temptation and pre-order a pair this afternoon at the meet.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised with these.

I thought they would be 325s with a different Silkscreen job, that's it.

It looks like a One-off on the Cup. the driver holder is made of Mahogany.

So the 325 is a $299 can. The diff to the HF-2 is $130. Take away the $40 "contribution". Now you have a $90 difference between this can and a 325. That looks like a lot of bang for $90-$130 however you do the math.

How does it sound? I have (4) Grados, they all sound like brothers and sisters, it'll sound like a Grado! I didn't think this can would interest me at all, now I'm saying Hmmmm?

.

Well, i was hoping they came with jumbo pads (they biggest ones9; but maybe something can be done about it and they can be used opening soundstage or something like that

Considering the price and taken in context with the rest of the lineup, I think the HF-2 is a great value. Even if it does not sound as good as an RS-2 or RS-1, the fact that the chamber is wood, the outside is metal, and the headband is leather is enough for me to say money well spent.

Here's to hoping for a PS-1 sound...

Quick question for one of those who can see them in person..
The writing on the cups - is it silkscreened paint, etched on or engraved? I'm guessing silk screened from the looks of it..

just thinking of durability here.

and yay. Leather headband

They look laser-etched to me. The lettering would be black if silk-screened.

Hey, I'm currently listening to the GL+DPS that I bought from you a while ago.
