The FitEar CIEM Impressions Thread
Feb 16, 2014 at 8:25 PM Post #2,161 of 6,693
The demo unit (C435) was a bit weird to get the right fit and do these phones justice whereas the 335 demo would often sound more impressive. to be honest, there was a leap of faith for my purchase based on my previous experience of their universals which all are high quality and good advice I've learnt from this board. I was getting a rough idea of the SS n felt these are closer to what I always look for in sound. The finished product did not disappoint me a bit.
If Suyama-san reads this board, he should consider to re-do these demo units.

Have alerted Claire from Jaben about the concerns. It is being looked into. :)

I actually like C435 a lot because of the clariry this CIEM brings and its non-fatiguing sound signature. Right amount of everything. I would consider these as "reference" for myself.

Agreed, CHG. Which is why spkrs01 had previously written about how it reveals the characteristics of your chain. I tend to turn to it to get a sense of the nature of the source or the cable I am trying out.

Historically, there wasn't a 435 demo unit in sjngapore. We hijacked Wilson's personal unit for our demo.

I'm curious. Has there ever been a case where someone had to send their Ftear CIEMS for refits?

Not in recent times, that I have heard of. Though if you do a search on MH334, if I recall correctly, the reviewer had some adjustment done to one side

I know of a bro in Singapore who has to send his 333 to refit sometime mid of last year. He ordered through Jaben SG though, so it was a straight forward process

Hmm I won't be at Jaben after I make my impressions.... Guess I'll have to hope they're perfect the first time.

From what have been told, the chances that you require a re-fit for FitEar ciems are much lesser than other ciems due to their shorter design.
That's why you don't really hear or read FitEar users require a re-fit.
Fingers-crossed yours will be smooth sailing

Wow? How long been waiting for?

This time it has taken a while. Order was put in early/mid Jan. The previous two pairs only took about 3 weeks. I understand the delay was because of the year end surge in domestic demand and then the heavy snow.

Good to hear that! Please let me know if they are good to complement my C435.

Definitely, CHG! What attracted me to the MH334 is that it is warmer than the C435 but still very clear. In the bigger scheme of things, I think of my C435 as the HD 800 of my Fitear customs  and the MH 334 as the LCD 3. Not as much treble extension, but more bass: it's a good contrast with the C435. I suspect which I use will be a mood thing but nonetheless I expect to thoroughly enjoy both equally.
