  OK so I had it in the kart at Aliexpress, got the message saying don't pay until the price is changed. This was on Friday, my price was never updated checked again today (and checked every day)
 
and now says sold out. What
 
Very disappointed in the way Aliexpress handled this, anybody else missed out on this deal because of Aliexpress
 
Does Fiio read this forum, can they help us in anyway ?

I successfully went through the process for buying my unit, but i had a problem because was not clearly stated that was not enough to put the X3 in the cart but that you need to buy the X3 without going through the payement: when i realized that i then had the final price corrected and i did the payement.

  For those in Australia you're probably aware X3K is moving like hotcakes, at least two online stores I know of (minidisc / noisy motel) are already on back order.
 
I have found 4 units available on eBay AUS.

I'm tempted but went with something else for the time being. I also have much faith in FiiO's DAPs, I am always impressed with my X1.

Can you be more precise at what exactly she does not like in X3 II's sound? That's the first negative feedback of comparison between the two generations in favour of the first I think ....

She's using IE80. Seems to be related with the soundstage. She doesn't like a "distant" sound. Seems to be too "distant" for her. And has not found any noticeable difference in SQ yet. I will listen to it tomorrow and will tell. Pretty sure I'll love it, but let's see.
