1.1 is the old one. Mine came with 1.0 and I upgraded it to 1.1. They also released a beta version of the latest driver recently, I think.

I plan on buying the X1 to use as my portable rig. Have an iPod Classic but want to keep it hooked up in my car and take the X1 out with me.

I have a Fiio E11 I use with my iPod from time to time. Will using it with the X1 make a difference or is the X1 fine without the E11?

depends totally on the headphone obviously. for average portable stuff it should be about the same minus impedance.(from looking at specs, I didn't listen to the E11 for a loooong time).

Is there any word on when the ridiculous 5800 song limit is going to be fixed? I have a 64GB card with still 28% left and am at 5200 songs with LOTS more to add....really at this point this and the unable to play playlists from the playlists section (can someone refresh my fuzzy memory why this is by the way?) are the only things I dislike about this player...

it has been fixed on the X5, and i believe also on the X3.

Hi everyone. I just picked up an X1 last week after years of using a Sandisk Fuze and so far, I am very happy with it. I have one question though. Is there any way to set this player to continue playing where it left off once turning it off? It's like the player resets itself every time if turns off, which is annoying when in the midst of an album. I have looked and haven't found anything so I was hoping someone here could help.

Yes, in the Play Settings, change Resume mode to Position (or Song if you want to the song to start from the beginning).
