I'm just not sure what FiiO could offer in an X1 v2 that would even get me interested. The X1 really fits a perfect niche of cost to performance. With the latest update they really did get the player to a state that's pretty feature complete.

If I want to upgrade my portable experience I'd look at an X3/5 II. I'm sure eventually it would make sense to refresh the DAC/amp combo inside but are we really at that point?

I'm not holding my breath for it.  Beside the UI of the X1 is pretty good compared to other devices.  Does what I need it to do.  YMMV.
