I think i will order it from a website in poland and send it via DHL [IMG] there it costs around 80 euro plus 10 for shipping

Can you share the link? Thx

I know the FiiO X1 has a PCM5142 DAC, so i want to ask, is it better than a Wolfson WM8740 DAC?
  4. jenia1
there are ways to avoid customs. ofcourse its not 100% proof, but it does worth it in the long run

http://audiomagic.eu/mp3-players/fiio/21601-fiio-x1.html   i was thinking of this myself. does it mean that people outside of poland are excluded from VAT?
  6. Textfeud
No only if you have a company and you buy the product on your company. Then you pay the VAT in your own country.

It's weird how quiet fiio has been about an official release date. I get all my updates here from you guys haha.I did see they posted a Korean review on their facebook page. I guess I'll be patiently waiting for it to hit amazon for the u.s.
  8. jenia1
What i do find wierd is that i still didnt see anypne selling it in germany
  9. clee290
@jenia1 I would wait for a shop like PenonAudio or MP4Nation to get the X1 and buy it from them for USD$100 with free worldwide shipping :p
  10. Textfeud
I ordered a Fiio E10 at MP4Nation once and got slapped with 35 euro custom fees.
  11. clee290
When you import something, there's always a risk of getting hit with customs. If you don't want that, then you'll have to buy from within your country.
  12. Textfeud
You don't say. MP4Nation post the value so you will get custom fees (at least in my EU country), so I won't recommend it for the couple of euro's you might keep in your pocket. If you are unlucky it will cost you more and you have warranty at the other end of the world.
  13. jenia1
If they declare the value that is a problem. Thats why i prefer cheinese companies which state low values :)
  14. clee290
Oh yea, I would definitely buy from within the country especially for the warranty, but I was just suggesting MP4Nation/PenonAudio since 99 euros (~USD$130) is too much for some. But it's up to them whether they want to take the risk to save some money or not.
  15. Textfeud
Apart from the warranty I also want to buy within my country because I want to keep hifi stores afloat. A lot of people bitch when their local hifi store goes bankrupt because they can't try out new gear but they buy overseas..
