I know the FiiO X1 has a PCM5142 DAC, so i want to ask, is it better than a Wolfson WM8740 DAC?

It's weird how quiet fiio has been about an official release date. I get all my updates here from you guys haha.I did see they posted a Korean review on their facebook page. I guess I'll be patiently waiting for it to hit amazon for the u.s.

When you import something, there's always a risk of getting hit with customs. If you don't want that, then you'll have to buy from within your country.

You don't say. MP4Nation post the value so you will get custom fees (at least in my EU country), so I won't recommend it for the couple of euro's you might keep in your pocket. If you are unlucky it will cost you more and you have warranty at the other end of the world.

Oh yea, I would definitely buy from within the country especially for the warranty, but I was just suggesting MP4Nation/PenonAudio since 99 euros (~USD$130) is too much for some. But it's up to them whether they want to take the risk to save some money or not.

Apart from the warranty I also want to buy within my country because I want to keep hifi stores afloat. A lot of people bitch when their local hifi store goes bankrupt because they can't try out new gear but they buy overseas..
