I wish, I'm 1.5 hours away from civilization, and also in work shift.

It only gets a little warm to the touch. Say, the temperature of a another person's skin at the most. It's certainly no Asgard. Perhaps a better question would be (and you may want to post this on nwavguy's page as he does seem to reply to comments very quickly) is there any risk in doing what you plan on doing.

That's good, then.

I don't have any risky notions in mind. I want to build the amp in as stock a way as possible, except with the controls and ports on the top rather than the front.

Tell kiteki I said "Tjena, hoppas att allt är bra" (Hi, I hope all is well) from Sweden, if you don't mind. :)

Kiteki is also Swedish as well, right? If I remember correctly.

And yet I am saddened because the original, kiteki, hasn't returned. I'm just the sequel.

Honestly, I'm a little worried about possible 'post-partum depression' (only half a joke).

You are no sequel MuppefFace, you offer a lot of contributing information to this forum without trolling and bashing others. You also have lots of experience due to your vast collection of IEMs/headphones.

MuppetFace, I see that the HD700 is  in your future interests! I wonder how it stand vs 1840. I think it is going to be a huge hit.

He lost me at the pullquote: "Certainly, the HD800 was missing something important, and that is musicality." For all my complaints about the HD 800, it was totally able to get me lost in the music. I'd call that the least of its deficiencies.

Honestly, the preliminary impressions of the HD700 are so scattered and disparaging it's ridiculous. We've got some people claiming it's darker than the HD800, while others are claiming it's definitely brighter. Some say they prefer it to the HD800, while others say it's clearly inferior.

Oy. This hobby sometimes...

I half wonder whether the preproduction samples have poor quality control, and I half wonder whether reviewers are simply trying to get on the hype bandwagon by rushing their first impressions to press after hasty meetup-quality listening sessions.

I don't care if it's not Sennheiser's top of the line; it's a thousand dollar headphone and merits more considered criticism than this.

From my understanding Kitekis parents are asian and australian, but Kiteki's Swedish. I could be very wrong as well.

I'll leave it to Kiteki to clarify if Kiteki feels the need ..
