Tyll sort of disagrees...

On the sound quality:
"I fully expected these headphones to be disappointing. A middle of the line product in the "celebrity headphone" category doesn't promise much for an audiophile. Well ... that's what you get for thinking too much, these headphones are pretty good. I'd say very good among celebrity cans at this price, but also pretty good compared to all headphones at around $200." 
 
That sounds like an endorsement for the SL150 priced at $80.  IIRC, he wasn't as positive about the more expensive, noise-canceling SL300.

The $80 price for SL150 only applies to the white version. Black ones are $109, and blue are $144.

Soul is going on clearance everywhere... Staples was the biggest markdown...cleared out stock at all the local staples around me of the 150's and 300's that I resold on CL

You're right, it is an excellent price, but I just dropped $1300 on my HD800s a few months ago. I'm not gonna spend $1000+ on a headphone until 2014. Or so I say now.

Wow I didn't realize even realize that Adgtron was connected to Dakmart. Makes me wonder if these "like new" headphones are actually refurbished. $112 for "like new" Sennheiser 558's is a steal if these are genuine. Oh well, at the end of the day I'll just be happy when I have my 558's and I can retire from the headphone hunt for a while.

are the 558 similar to the 600? Just wondering

Soundwise I think the hd558 sound close to the 600 and the hd518 close to the hd650. Not sound quality wise but more the flavor of the headphone.
Please note that I did own the hd518 but I never owned the other three, but I have auditioned them.
