anywhere I can get a pair of grado i80s for 50 dollars?

Grados are gonna be impossible to find below MSRP unless they're used.  Grados weird about that, keep a tight lock on prices everywhere

No. Grados are rarely sold under MSRP. The best you can do is watch this thread.

EDIT: I guess I should have advanced to the next page to see that torturechambers had already responded :xf_eek:

Your best bet is to search through the used headphone sales thread on head-fi. I just picked up a SR80i for $40 with wood cups (!) here a few days ago, they just need to be recabled and use a little TLC...drivers are perfect.

No exactly true.  With time, patience and maybe even careful attention to this thread, you will buys on new Grados from time to time.

Jumped on it, thanks for the heads up. I figure I'll compare to my K702 and sell whichever one i like less (even if it's purely aestethics)

Great deal considering I happily paid $220 for my gently used K702.

These are very good prices. I'd bet the K701/Q701 will continue to go down in price on the used market as the K712 is released. If you're interested, it's a great time to keep an eye out for these headphones.
