If I buy a non tourist, Japanese language Sony NW-WM1A from Japan, how do I get English?

By using the RockBox nwdest tool to change the region to something other than J which enables the gui option to change language. Or install the MrWalkman WalkmanOne modded fw

I love my Lotoo Paw Gold Touch, but Sony NW-WM1Z Gen 1 is something even a little more special. Sony's chip renders music beautifully.

I thought you'd kept your 1A. I just bought a ZX300 again, mainly as it is a smaller lighter player, but I can see myself buying a 1A again. There were quite a few used ones in Japan, but no used 1Z - I wonder what the ratio of sales was.
They're so light compared to a 1Z.

I sold the NW-WM1A. I regret it. I will never part with the NW-WM1Z.

Hello everyone

I am new to the Sony game. I bought the WM1Z here in classified and had Steve upgrade it straight away. It's still the honeymoon phase, all new and shiny. I'm still waiting to see what the burn-in will bring. But what I can already say is that I've never heard such detailed bass! As a bass player, I always thought that the sound of a bass amp simply couldn't be transformed into the recording. How foolish of me...

Cheers

Roger

+1
...the bass is perfect for me, I even prefer the WM1Z bass to the WM1ZM2 bass.

Cheers

I'm sure it will be a long honeymoon :L3000: I've had my WM1Z 4 years now. I hadn't looked after the battery so needed a new one. I decided I might as well go with Steve's EXPMv5 mod if I was going to get the battery replaced. That was a couple of months back. I'm now around 250 hours on from Steve's magic. Whilst I can't A/B test, I can confidently say my 1Z has never sounded so good. And yeah, the detailed bass...just wow!
