THE COMPOSER OPEN BACK FLAGSHIP by AUSTRIAN AUDIO

I agree on your guess concerning the motives for choosing this new connector, but maybe Austrian Audio wants to tell us an additional message: "This headphone is as close to perfection as it can be, so do not f*ck around with different cables!"

Cheers,
Bernie
Frankly, I never buy cables to improve the sound but rather to have an extra cable - sometimes something longer, sometimes something more "cat safe", sometimes because I found a good price, or even just because I like the colour. I often reterminate my cables for the new HPs that I bought. So if I like this HP and decide that it is a keeper, if it was a standard one, like 3.5mm, I already have two in hand, so I don't have to do anything. But I don't even know where to find the connectors for Composer.

I have to buy textile sleeved cables since clear sleeve type of cables are not safe with my cats around 😅

A little fence wire and a transformer and they'll learn not to bite headphone cables :p

Okay I have this question. How is the soundstage compared to something like Arya Organic which according to reviews has height-width-depth ?
Does the composer have the height that is often attributed to large Hifiman drivers ? Or say AKG K812, Is it holographic like K812 ?

Can you talk about the pads at all? Anything different than the standard choice of materials? I'm really liking all these extra open headphones being teased. The Axel Grell unit being another. Still haven't heard the MySphere, but the RAAL is certainly an amazing headphone.

The ear cushion is a closed one,(Magnetically detachable) which is filled with a special memory foam....is very sealing around the ear

I bet this will have a super wide soundstage. Curious. Price? Release date?

I wonder how AA positions this HP: audiophile or professional? If I am not mistaken, AKG positioned its flagship K812 as professional HP
I think pros would want a easily accessible connectors if they need a replacement. (their job depends on it. even using lemo seems horrible considering there are alternatives)

2800 USD, release date is probably this weekend, 1800 USD for the accompanying amp (I am guessing its actually an amp/dac).

Its a analog amp with also a special feature
