It doesnt really matter I believe, he is only going to get 48khz out of his iphone.

Unless he uses the Apple camera connection kit and inputs to the Hifi-m8 usb-B.

As of now he is just using standard cables.

You may be right unless that interconnect cut up a cck and usb-b while retaining whatever chip apple put there.

And their customer service is outstanding. Mine stopped working a while back. I contacted them via thie customer service chat line and two hours later I was emailed a tracking no. for a replacement. It arrived two days later.

Sorry if this has already been answered, but does anyone know if the HiFi M8 will support ios8 and the iphone 6?  Will we finally have HD audio from an apple device without all the workarounds?

I see no reason why hifi-m8 would not be compatible with iOS 8 or iphone 6, but kets wait for concrete proof.

As for hi-res.... I await with baited breath. If i can clear 1gb of space on my ipod touch 5g i will update it. And check.

i just bought one of those venturecraft 7N cables to upgrade from my first venturecraft lightning cable and my v-moda cable.

The 7N sounds great.

iOS 8 works with the Hifi-M8.
