The Centrance HiFi M8 thread

It's really sad to know that Apple actually kills good and useful features for their customers. Why in the world are they doing that!?!?

They try to kill they think any unintended use of their iDevice. CCK is for camera use, so why in a world one would use it for audio purpose.

Was the CCK-audio feature ever 'killed'?

I'm stumped trying to think of a situation where I'd say get a M8 LX for iDevices other then someone is looking to use it with an iPhone/iPod/iPad and an AK120/AK100...

Thats good news ExpatinJapan, Can you confirm that it's actually outputting 24/96 to Hifi-M8

Heres how a 24/96 file looks going through the USB-A idevice port.

See how it goes down to 48Hz from 96Hz.

Hifi-M8 plays 24/48 out of the box for idevices, (or 16/48?)

Very cool indeed ExpatinJapan...24/96 from iPhone 4S to Hifi-M8....woooohooooo.....I'm going to get myself a CCK ASAP. Can't wait to try this out, surely the best thing that ever happened to me after purchasing my Hifi-M8. Thank you so much again for sharing this info. I owe you one

I thought the whole idea of getting the M8 was to extract USB audio output from iDevices 'without' the need for iOS7/CCK?

Centrance is supposed to release a firmware upgrade to natively support 24/96 support on iDevice without going through the CCK route. This was one of the selling point many people here considered when getting the M8. Sadly, they don't appear to be interested in doing so anymore.
