dgbiker1-
Very nice DBP R32. I can't wait to see what the Golf R20 is like when it's finally announced. I think that'll be my next ride, since my R32's getting a bit high in mileage. I'm hoping they'll bring a 5-door over to the states this time, paired with a 6-speed of course.

I used to autocross a modded 94 Z24.

I don't have the car anymore. Here are pics of some of my current toys:

94 Chevy Z28, 89 Yamaha FZR400 (down due to a break up issue above 6k RPMs), and my 04 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R.

I recently picked this up last Thursday....2009 Ducati 848:

As far as which one I like better, it depends. The reason why I'm keeping my ZX-10R is because it's a different bike. As many people who have owned or ridden an 04/05 ZX-10R, the common consensus is this bike is just raw. The power delivery comes on pretty aggressively. The handling of the bike in the corner is a bit twitchy to the point of being a bit nervous. But the more you tap into the bike's potential, the more you realize the bike can do more. You just have to hang on some times.

The 848 on the other hand has a very predictable and smooth power delivery. The bike is sprung pretty tight as is the ZX-10. But the 848 is more smoother in the corners. Once you get the bike set in the corner, the bike just settles in without any twitchiness.

So the differentiation is if I want to ride for a pure adrenaline rush where I get off the bike with the pi$$ scared out of me, I would ride the 10. If I want to go after some twisties and then ride through town turning heads, the 848 would be my choice. To sum up the bikes....ZX-10==raw 848==finely aged wine.

^No, thats something cool.

Enzo Ferrari would be proud to see someone using his cars and pushing it to the limit rather than sitting in some air conditioned garage.

I can't resist posting this here:

I'm having serious thought about becoming a pilot once I finish my aerospace engineering degree.
