No you need that little 2.4L V8 they are using in the ariel atom 500.

10k RPM and 500hp, I'd take that sucker over a LS1 any day.

Not sure about the rotating assembly, but the block/heads/intake on the LS1 are all aluminum. Shouldn't hurt the balance too awful much.

Oh, I have a friend with a 1972 chevelle with the 307 V8. That engine happens to make just over 100hp (115 ish, new).

Close, but not really. The one in the ariel is by RS Performance, I went to their site and there is no info on getting the engine by itself.

I still think I'd take a Caparo T1 though. As much as I'm a big Caterham fan, I can't go pass the Caparo's awesome engineering design.

It did, but I think they fixed that problem now.
