Not sure about the rotating assembly, but the block/heads/intake on the LS1 are all aluminum. Shouldn't hurt the balance too awful much.

Oh, I have a friend with a 1972 chevelle with the 307 V8. That engine happens to make just over 100hp (115 ish, new).

Can you guys make fun of him for me? Thanks.

At least you'll never have to change the oil. Engines like those blow up every thousand miles or so.

I still think I'd take a Caparo T1 though. As much as I'm a big Caterham fan, I can't go pass the Caparo's awesome engineering design.
