How many gold segments there are on the plug.
A normal 3.5 plug has 2 lines and 3 segments. So it's 3 pole.

Ordered the Brise Audio BSEP for IER-Z1R cable. Takes at least 45 days.
Ordered another Accurate USB cable, it will ship on 28 april 
+ they only do regular mail shipping so that’s an extra 2 weeks at least for it to reach me

At some point, I would love to explore their higher-end headphone cables. The TOTORI I have has proven to be a real success.

Any idea why the Yatono Ultimate 8 wire is not offered with a L type 4.4 mm connector while there is an option for L Type connector for the Ultimate 4 wire ?

Here's a look at the 8w straight vs 4 wire L plug.
I suspect the straight plug is a special kind where the back side of the barrel is fully open (unlike PW Pentaconn one that has a narrower diameter opening). This isn't going to fit in the L plug. But I wish there was one!!
