The Beyerdynamic Tesla DT 1350 Impressions thread

I've been been using a Fiio E6 to drive my month old DT1350.  I think it may be a bit underpowered.  I've ordered the new E07K already.  Does it have sufficient power to drive my DT1350?

I received my E07K yesterday. I think with many so called "Re-Mastered" CD's and recent recordings the master volume is overdone and when a singer's vocals peaks I heard this "crackling" noise.  I guess the little e6 just couldn't handle it.  Never had this problem with low bit rate files (128-256 kbps).  Played those same songs again with the E07K and its gone.  It seems my DT1350 was a bit under driven with the E6.

I think the sound signature has softened up a bit though (never used any bass boost on the e6).  My DT1350 is still energetic and aggresive enough but it seems to be less fatiguing to listen to after an hour of straight listening.  I think I prefer it.

That sounds like clipping on the e6. I just got mine, listening off my ipod, no major deficiencies,I may pick up an e5 and give that a try, or build another buffered portable, but I'm not sure they need it, they are crazy sensitive. I'm digging these cans!

Listening to Pink Martini right now on the DT1350.  Wow!!!.  And yes, the soundstage is improved too.  More spatious. For sure.  For closed I'm very pleased.  Bass sounds more punchy and tighter.  Loving it too!!!

Another great amp to pair with the DT-1350's is the TTVJ Slim, it adds a bit of warmth.

I prefer taking some of the warmth AWAY and pair it with the iQube. I think that makes the DT-1350 shine and the synergy between the two is great to my taste :)

I bought these because of what I've read here and I've heard (pun intended) they will match perfectly with the Fostex HP-P1. Using the 1/8 impedance rule its like the DT1350 was made for it.  Anxiously awaiting it's arrival!

Merry Christmas everyone!
