I feel ya.
Im also not a country music fan, in general......tho i am a fan of Keith Urban.
He's a fine musician, and as a kid, he started wanting to be a musician because of the music of Queen.
Keith's "country music" is very appealing to people who...>"don't really like country music.".
And i feel the same about Bluegrass music.. Im not really able to love the more traditional....but,
there are 3 artists who make BG music, that is seemingly created for people like me........ who dont really love the traditional sound of "Bluegrass".
So, if you can stand Keith, and you like Kacey Musgraves, and would like to add "Bluegrass" to your listening experience then the music of, is worth owning.
1. A'oife O'Donovan
2. Sarah Jarosz
3. Chris Thile (solo) and Christ Thile (Nickel Creek).
And about Kacey Musgraves.
Yes, this album, has some very interesting music on it.
And like Keith Urban, she writes her songs, or co-writes them....
Kacey also gets high a lot, so, i think this causes some of her music to be almost like "psychedelic country pop".
Let me post one more as she is a fun listen, and has a unique and lovely "country" voice.
