I have to say that Pink Floyd wins in my book. It is hard to compare two different groups like these two. The Wall is just amazing. (It holds a great musical and poetic importance for me.)

Pink Floyd. Roger Waters' writing is incredible, and David Gilmour is a warlock on the guitar. Probably my favorite band of all time actually.

Pink Floyd! I like stuff from Syd Barrett to post break up, and I love the Division Bell album. Probably my most favorite album in my collection. I still love the Beatles tho.

You can ask most stupid kids wondering around the streets "Hey do you know who The Beatles are?" and most of them will know, I can't say the same for most about Pink Floyd.  Both are great obviously.

Pink Floyd "geek"? No way, man. You need to watch some documentaries or something to see what they were really about.

For me, today it's The Beatles 'cause my daughter recently 'discovered' them and added dozens of their songs onto her iPod...kinda nice to be able to share that interest with her.

Floyd is great too. I've even seen them live. They're just not on top of my rotation at this time.
