...also, everyone is still mentioning/talking about the M50. No love for the Pro700MK2's???   Did I buy the wrong headphones?

Audiophiles tend to prefer the neutrality of the M50 over the colored sound of the Pro700mk2. The bass head audiophile may be more happy with the pro700, while the M50's bass is more than enough for the average audiophile that prefers a neutral sound presence.
There was also a comfort problem reviewers tend to experience. The earpads are quite cheap.

People used to say that the M50 are basshead headphones. What are they said to be now? I personally I find them almost cold. The M50 is really an odd headphone on the forum.

I guess they are about the same now but I just constantly see them mentioned on the forums.  I just placed an order for the Ultrasone Pro 900's.  Ooooh boy.

The clamp on the pro700 is serious but is the sound quality that much different?  Where can i find replacement pads???

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way about the M50s...the dynamics and bass were impressive considering price, but the mids felt a little recessed and the overall sound just left me feeling "meh." Good but nothing special...I prefer my MS400 any day of the week.

Good choice.  M50's were boring and clamping force was a deal breaker.

Shure SE215 is a great choice for solid bass with decent extension and nice forward, lush mids, but fit has been a problem for some with smaller ears. Fischer Audio Eterna might be worth a look too, or Hippo VB if you want treble emphasized over mids and lots of subbass.

I'm using the smallest tips they have and I'm fine

Well I never had real problems, they fit me great once I found the sweet spot, but the housings are pretty big and I know some people have had trouble with the fit and memory wire so I felt it was only fair to mention. They are great phones though, and easy to recommend because of build and all around SQ for the price, I still have yet to find anything as close to my preferred signature.

So I paid about $150 for my Pro700MK2's what would be a good replacement for these?  I like them okay but I have a gut feeling that I could've gotten something better in a basshead headphone.  Suggestions???  Ultrasone maybe?

you really need to hit up google and the head-fi search bar.

I think I gave you a LOT of suggestions - none of them were taken into consideration.
Seems like anything I could suggest is ignored, then asked again 3 pages later.
