Yeah bro I'm using my Senn HD558's with it's loose bass it literally RUMBLES like crazy. I set the thing to 95hz. I think that bass loose + bass boost = better than tight bass + bass boost. My He-400 with same setup doesn't come close to the rumble HD558's provide. Very fun to try and listen to your favourite rap/dubstep/trance/heavy bass stuff.

My DT770 Pro 80s just came today. They're my first foray into anything more sophisticated than $10 Sony EX10s (which, to be fair, have a solid low-end for something that cheap).

All I can say is...holy mother of God

This makes me happy. Beyer brothers unite! The DT770 is so comfortable, too. And the metal parts, "MADE IN GERMANY".. Hell, even before the great sound signature, I'm blown away by them, still some of my favourite cans.

DT770/80 For the win!

can u guys recommend a bass heavy headphones around $200? It is mainly just for fun listening, dubstep, electronics, etc. Are the Sony XBs any good? I heard they are good for bass but I don't really like On ear headphones because I feel like they don't sound good as the over ears (they look good tho). I think the V modas LP 2 is on top of my list but I have to say I don't like how it looks lol. Any other suggestions guys?

Appreciate your time.

On one hand, I love my XB-910's (920's), but some others seemingly don't. I wouldn't pay more than $200 for them. YMMV. Best way to determine is to audition before buying if possible. On the other hand, the sub-$200 segment is filled with good to great bassy headphones.

The old Xb 700 and 500 are nice! The 500 should still be around $50, how ever the 700 USED to be one of the best under $100 now though it's way more than $100 >.>

How ever the UE 6000 is under $200 and I liked it very much for bass :D

still OLD XB PILLOWS for life q.q

I just sold my xb500 just because I love my xb910 so much. For the money I bought another pair of xb910 in case sony discontinues them or mine breaks or so. So I have two of them now. Knowing Sony and their way of handling things, the XB line could be cut anyday for any reason, just alltogether.

I haven't heard the UE headphones, but I really dig the looks of UE9000 (its over 9000!!!).

how would you compare between the UE 6000 and XB 920? I think UE 9000 is just the wireless version of the 6000?

Good news, just ordered an M-Audio Q40 with a spare 3.5 audio cable. I already have some velour Beyer pads to swap with, but l'll see how the stock ones go. Hopefully once they arrive ill do a comparison between them and the M50's. :D
