I was looking around the Future Sonics site, and just found that if you're willing to spend the extra $$ you can get Atrios with custom ear molds... that would make them super comfortable.  So that might be the best basshead IEM option ever: http://www.mcssl.com/store/futuresonics/package-4

i have these yes they are VERY COMFETABLE

the sound is only becomes better.

they bring out the midrange more and it looses some of the sibliance in the treble, bass sound a bit deeper but its more felt then the standered tips, also the soundstage really opens up (alot) :D

isloation really improves, the sound is only minor

Does any1 know of an IEM with huge both subbass & midbass, typically I see IEMs being subbass heavy but often lack midbass so they don't compare to headphones such as XB500 impactwise (they always hit softer in the attack of the bass).  Well the only IEM I know of which I got myself too is the Koss Sparkplugs which has really fantastic bass for an IEM but the rest isn't very nice though, quite muddy sounding but hey these cost like $15 or something lol and I still find it very enjoyable though as I'm not a fan of bright sound with an IEM, I actually seem to enjoy this rather severely rolled off highrange.

simple monster trubine gold

they are $$$$ though

That FR graph doesn't look great at all about as far away from my preferred sound signature as it gets, do the JVCs at least have less V-shape sound? I don't like V-shape sound especially in IEMs, how do HAFX1X compare to X101? I have a feeling the muddier X1X (which I interpret as less highs? => to me a good thing) would be more to my liking in an IEM sound.

Yeah the FX101 also sounds very muddy compared to the SHE3580, but many over at the discovery thread like them more than the FX1X, maybe you'll be one of them.

Not that I like V-shape either, I EQ the SHE3580 with a strong A-curve.

I also used to really dislike treble until I followed the EQ guide
http://www.head-fi.org/t/413900/how-to-equalize-your-headphones-a-tutorial
and found that I was being affected by several treble resonance peaks.  With some modifications to the EQ guide I zeroed in on my problem frequencies and cut them down until I've now got a smooth treble that's amazingly detailed and not in the least fatiguing.

I detail my own method here
http://www.head-fi.org/t/615417/how-to-equalize-your-headphones-advanced-tutorial-in-progress
although the thread is in a bit of a jumbled state.  I'm waiting for further interest in the thread to show before I put more effort into organizing it

My way of EQing is push all the bass settings to max or right before they distort, then I tweak the treble to where I like it.
