Sorry about that. Is it a rule for head-fi in general, or thread specific?

Read the rules dude! LOL

  1. Group buy/mass buy site links or discussion about them are also not permitted. That includes hinting. See here: http://www.head-fi.org/a/group-buys.

I just read the stories on those devastating GBs. Poor Smeggy! No wonder I haven't been hearing about the Thunderpants anymore.

Well damn.. I didn't even know there WERE rules to read (I've never been through the wiki at all since I joined). Lol. Again, my bad.

Heh. read the rules next time. I got banned from an iOS forum once because I didn't read.
Alos, don't forget to read the Terms and Conditions. You wouldn't want people to just barge into your house and kidnap you to turn you into a part of a HumancentiPad.

I've never heard anyone call the Razer Kraken's or the UE 9000 anywhere near bassy headphones

Well, I have the UE6000 (not 9000) and they are indeed very bassy with NC on. Close to XB performance, so to say. Ridiculously bassy when EQ:ed. Good that you reminded - I'll take them to work today. I have my office alone today, so I can play around with some headphones without feeling like a too big of a nerd. Anyway, they definitely belong on the basshead list, and they have been discussed before in the OG basshead club (as basshead material).

+1 on the UE6000's! I also have them and use them on a daily bas(S)is at work! They extend deep and can be, as Coq de Combat says, EQ:ed to ridiculous bass levels!

edit: with the Arrow 3G and bass set to II =

What are some IEM that can match overall bass of over-ear headphones? I have only had ath-ckm500; although they have good bass, it seems as if subwoofer was off when comparing to full-size headphones such as ath-m50.  Listening to Moby's Extreme Ways is a good example.  Are all IEM have similar experience when compared to full-size headphones?

Hey guys, I thought I would share a track.
It probably doesn't have the bass of some of the tracks HBB and such have presented for testing purposes, but it one of my all time favorites from the genre I listen to most (Jungle).

It's a tricky thing. Personally, I think a lot of IEMs do that, but in order to do that, they need a good to great seal. Unless you have a good seal, you won't be getting that glorious sub bass no matter how bassy they are. However, a good starting point would be to look at the opening post of this thread. White Lotus has hidden the IEMs in a spoiler tag because he's making a better looking list, however, you'll still find the current, most popular basshead IEMs there.

Just thought I would give a quick update:
Turns out the campaign between Rakuten Japan and Tenso isn't completely free, it was a coupon for 3000 yen off the fee, so I still had to pay 2000 yen for the Tenso service, which makes the total for the JVCs about 230 dollars.

Can't wait for them to arrive!

And, again, I would be more than happy to help out anyone with navigating Japanese websites for this particular campaign or really anytime you guys would like to know what something says.

I actually saw two vendors on ebay (feedback in the 90's) selling the SZ2000 for $239+Free shipping. If they're still available when I get some more funds, I might pick em up there.

No they aren't. I would have rather bought from Amazon if that were the case. The cheapest one is 233 + 19 for shipping from a vendor with a one-star rating. The next cheapest one is 250 + 6 for shipping. I almost went with that shop except for the average time of 12 - 16 days, and then I found that Rakuten/Tenso deal.

I have the Logitech UE6000 and Sony MDR V55 cans. Both well burned in now. The Sony's bass is superb and markedly better than the UE6000 'phones. Deeper, tighter and punchier. The extra extension is consistent with the respective specs. Maybe the Logitechs need more grunt and/or don't like the FiiO E07k Andes amp I'm using (with a Galaxy Note 2 and Spotify Premium). I have to crank the FiiO up to 80% with the Logitechs versus 60% with the V55s. Treble extension is better too and they aren't far behind in the midrange or soundstage either. It's a pity as the UE6000s were supposed to be my main pair. They are much more comfy and look the part but they're relegated to playing second fiddle.
