More cable options I guess but Steve has a wealth of aesthetic options. I honestly dislike the wood splitter, but that's just preference. Does make it unique.
And I still have never heard the difference in cables. From my purely ergonomic standpoint I'd still take Q.

Me either - except copper cables with HD800s and T1s to me work really well.  Yeah the wood splitter honestly appeals to me.  I'll tell you from comparison there's no difference between the two when it comes down to ergonomics IMO.

Saying all this - I'm also liking Franks cables (venom) at Toxic cables as well.  He also has a very large following on head fi.

Not trying to be flamebait, but can someone elaborate on why they would buy something other than the stock LCD-2 cable? I've found with most cables, as long as they're not microphonic or heavy it's not an issue. Who are we kidding, the headphones are heavy and most of the slack in the cable is resting on my lap or the floor. Just curious if anyone noticed anything inherently wrong with the stock cable. I find it interesting that Audeze actually has a lot of technical specs (which I don't understand - but looks impressive) which is more than what I can find from a lot of 3rd party cable retailers.

Ergonomics of the Q-Cables can't be beat and yes I can hear a difference. Not huge, but enough to not use the stock cables.

A shamefull repost, but I am so neck deep in Audeze "stuff" that it adds a perfect dimension. Using the LCD-2r1, LCD-2r2 and the LCD-3 on different setups. Music is good. :)

None of the 3 will every be sold. They are already a collectors item - and precious music conveyors.

What? No LCD-1? A shameful post indeed.

Yes, definitely ergonomics but I'll be honest: some of these aftermarket cables (I use Q Audio) give the LCD's a run for their money in the aesthetics department.

You're still using the stock cable?

The stock cabled is quite good to my ears.  I would love to try the Cardas Clear for the LCD's and everyone is bored reading me write that.........so...........if Cardas would only just send me some to test...........................

I didn't care for the way the 1/4" plug on the stock cable marked the front panel of some amps (with a ring around the jack).

There's no LCD2 rev 3? There was no tuning done to the drivers in the Bamboo version except...it is made out of bamboo.

Yeah we know, just having a bit of fun
