Scottcw- I was referring to the material used for casing.
I have no business with the fur :-)) Charles tried steel, stainless steel and if i am not mistaken he tried copper also. But found the best sounding aluminium enclosure.Which is perfect if you ask me.
And i have never complaind about how it sounds.
Yes agree with you, best sounding portable music player i have ever heard or owned.

According to this pic from Tera facebook page quite a few Tera's were going to Japan back in 2014 - can't remember what the price was back then.

Those might still be sitting in his shop.

In that case that shop better be insured cause there are hundreds of thousands of EUROS sitting on that table - could be worth millions after next price increase.

musicday probably knows the historic Tera Player prices, as he seems to be Charles unofficial marketing department and fan club spokesman.

I am the biggest fan of the Tera Player.Heard lots of music players and this one is the best for me.

1.Ruben do you want to buy the Tera Player? Is quite expensive you know...Ohh forgot, you don't need one as you have a Sandisk Clip+ as you mentioned few pages back in the thread.Right?

2.Smial1966 you own a £8000 DAC and you are still not satisfied with it and you regret selling your Tera Player, right?

3.I am in no way affiliated with Mr.Charles Altmann but i respect him and what he has made and the Tera Player is a fantastic music player. And i have paid for mine.
I am hoping to meet with him one day.

4.I can answer any other questions you guys may have about it.

musicday,

Please stop spreading malicious falsehoods, as selling you my Tera Player for £900 when I originally bought it for 500 Euros was one of the best investments that I've ever made. I have absolutely no regrets disposing of my Tera Player, as it is a sonically flawed device and there are much better sounding DAP's currently available at far less cost IMHO.

The Chord DAVE is in an entirely different audio category and sonic league to the Tera Player (TP). To use a footballing analogy, DAVE is a Premiereship team of professional sportsmen, whereas the TP is a non-league pub team of fat sweaty middle aged bald blokes. ;)

As you well know I was an early adopter of the Tera Player (TP) and ardent supporter of Charles when he was unjustly criticised in previous TP threads. However, my enthusiasm waned when I heard other better sounding DAP's that cost far less money, and when it became blatantly obvious that Charles was unjustifiably doubling the TP's cost when he felt like it.

I still contribute here to try and add a balanced perspective to the unabashed eulogising about the Tera Player that some thread posters repeatedly make. ;)

Smial1966,
Coming to the thread all the time and writing things against it in a subtile way what does make me think?
Anyway, let's make this thread productive. For making fun and other similar things we can open a different thread :-))

+1!!! This thread needs some balance.
