I knew Charles been banned long time ago,i was referring that i would like him to join Headfi- again.
For a fact- i had the Tera player for the longest time, from all my gadgets and i had quite few high end music players, thats how good it is for me,sound, battery life, size, portability, easy in operation.

Ok my friend Soundblast75, so the impedance of the Pioneer Master headphones is 45 Ohm, Tera output is 10 & 20 Ohm.
Can you describe which output you use to get a great match with the player?
How long did you burn them in for,and this combo is better then Porta Pro Modified or anything else you tried before?
A better description on the sound will be much appreciated.
Are you using the stock cable of aftermarket?

Well, they are still burning, abiut a month now, it takes a longer time with these. Both outputs fine, was using the louder, Right one, havent bothered with Portas for long long time, no reason to tbo, haven't used Tera either till that time I tried with S master, all I heard was Tera feeding them perfectly and a powerful meety sound that was as good as any other sourse like Mojo or Meridian Prime. The SMaster cable is already better than most stock cables, I also am not a believer in cables much, tho I hear differences usually I don't think they are as essential as people think

He was. I asked him not to be rude to other members and his reply was equally rude, which is both unacceptable and unfortunate. I guess it is his personality which cannot be sensible when it comes to both interacting with others and pricing his player. Oh well.

I wanted to suggest though, given replies to my question about the Mojo, that fans of the Tera Player's sound might want to give the Soundaware M1 (Analog version) a go. My train of thought is that if the Tera Player is going to be priced out of affordability, then exploring capable alternatives would be in order.

Haha..imagining exactly what Charles would say about the alternative's sound:grinning::grinning::grinning:

I would love to see Charles selling the Tera player let's say for £500, lots and lots will be sold straight away. But that's not possible.
He is a genius and and a wise man.Is protecting his creation and i respect that.
He is selling them only those those that really care and appreciate good sound quality, but you can always email yourself. Very good at replaying fast.

Hi,

I heard Tera several time, not mine. its belong to a friend. indeed the price is incredible compare to the other player, and considering that it minimum fitur.
not to troll this thread, apologize if my post goes wrong. but a friend of my just develop a screenless digital player using arm m4 as the cpu, programmed using assembly with PLL and 1 clock to proses the wav file at 16-14/192khz sampe rate.

I order and ask to customized the dac section to use the tda1387, and add the rolable opamp as it internal amp.
I can show the picture here if you ask.

just though that maybe this is a cheap solution to owned look a like tera dap on a cheaper price.

many thanks in advance

Hi musicday,

What kind of technical spec you want?
the battery is 1500mah lipo and can take average 5hours play using ad8397 as internal amp which can deliver 350ma out put current, the voltage out and impedance out will be calculalted after final board assembly. but the player have 0 dc offset.
since the player use the chip es9023 the 24 bit wont be downsample to 16, and still remain to played on 192khz using 8mhz clock for processing sample rate from 44 to 192 by coding on arm.
the player try to process the digital data to analog from sd card on a very efficient and effective way, through most short path.

the internal opamp can be rolled by other opamp. we have try several opamp such ad825 to etc

excuse me if im wrong, but its nothing to be hide, and not try to clone the tera as well since this dap are different on the digital data processing using the different way and clock to accomodate the data sampling process, its wysiwyg player..what you see is what you get nothing being cover to be hide.

I came from Indonesia, yes the 10 dap onf 1st batch would be ready next week. since we have open PO on our local howntown audio hobbiest
