Really? I went from Kingston (30mb/s) to Sandisk (60mb/s), both Class 10. That anomaly I experienced and described earlier was with a Kingston, have not experienced it since I switched to Sandisk.
 
I thought Tera supported up to 32Gb only?

Good for you! 32 works find for me; without a screen, I'm already having problems navigating through my music!

Any SD card recommendations, by brand and tech specs?

 
Read an article on a Dutch website about SD Cards and differences soundwise.
Went from a Sandisk Ultra 64 Gb micro SD with adapter to a Sandisk Extreme Plus 128 Gb normal SD Card.
Datatransfer speed now from 40MB/s up to 80 MB/s.
Don't know if with the micro version it was due to slower datatransfer or the adapter (think probably the last one) but......

So there was an improvement in sound moving to the Extreme Plus SD then? I never bothered with the adapter even though I have some micros for the AK240, don't like the fiddling dropping on all fours searching routine, but I didn't think there was any sound difference between the Kingston 30mbs and the Sandisk 80mbs.

The Pure ll is the right way to go as I never used the two tone adjustment buttons.  The reason that I have the Duo was that  at the time when I picked up the Vorzuge no Pure was available in store. 

Ok so I listened to the Tera amped by Pure II today, the improvements were marginal and really not worth the extra bulk in my opinion. Good news is, the Tera is still superb flying solo. Bad news is, I have to marry the Pure II to some other DAP that I don't have yet.

Had the Pure II to get rid of impedance problems, worked OK but no better than Fiio E6.
Didn't do much for Tera compatible IEM as well so explained to Vorzüge and returned the Amp within 7 days.

No real recommendations. I use mostly Sandisk, but any class 10 works for me. I just convert the WAV files to 16 bit to save space and no longer have the issue of the Tera not being able to fill the buffer. BTW I don't think the size of the buffer has much to do with it, it is the access speed to the card needed to fill the buffer. You see the blue led blinking every time it reads the card. The more high res a WAV file is the more often it blinks. If the buffer is larger it will blink less often.

Access speed and data transfer speed probably as well.
My blue led blinks the same frequency but much shorter with the 80mb/s card then the 40mb/s card obviously.
According to Charles it doesn't matter, just saves power.

Btw which software do you use for converting to 16 bit?

I had issues with very large files from Linn. No SD card was fast enough. Charles made some adjustments to the firmware which helped. He still recommended me to convert them to 16 bit to save space and battery life.

I use XLD on my Mac.

Glad it worked out well for you. Are you planning to amp your Tera? I'm going hook it up to a Kojo and see if that will be worth the bulk and battery! Just wondering, is there any special instructions on amping the Tera, eg which jack, turning volume to max, etc? The fact that I find little to no difference amped and not is disconcerting.
