Picked one up. I think this is the start of my new addiction hobby.
$20US would definately not be enought to hold me off from trying out my set, but good luck to you Sir
I'll do the same deal for 000078, 000762, 000556, or 001776.
Which gives us some food to think about your birthdate
Or what else are your motivations?

I'm actually guessing it has more to do with his hobby / avatar ......
Guessing the 762 and 556 are calibres - right? .762 = 30 cal. And the 556 was the original calibre for the M16, and commonly used in most NATO ordinance.
Not sure if the 1776 refers to "1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms!"
Just guessing here
What a Patriot.
The pair I have here is serial number 5. I know there are a few more demo units floating around, so I'm not sure how that factors into thing. The page says the first 250 customers are guaranteed a serial under 300, which leaves some wiggle room I guess.
I agree that the K601/701 family has always been a very large headphone. It doesn't necessarily look all that huge in pics but it really is big. Unlike Audeze, the size doesn't translate to weight, and it's still quite comfy.
Not sure how this model will influence priced on used 65th Editions. I imagine sound and build are very close, despite the different locations. Then again I think the later 65th runs had angled pads so that could be a factor.
Anybody else here super-hesitant about spending $200 for a pair of headphones? I know this if head-fi, and headphones are priority #1 for me too... but $200....
