I have had mixed experiences with aliexpress cables. A very good one for my Sennheiser HD 599 and a very bad one for my Etymotic ER4XR.
Now I was wondering about this cable that you recommend. They say in the page you can order it 2,5. Then, is it a balanced cable? I undertood the AKG K712 pro needs some special mod to be used balanced? Is this right or just buying one of those cables would work?

I bought the top-of-the-line moon audio headphone cable with the Furutech carbon fiber headphone plug for mine and my 712s sound wonderful.
Of course, they are fully broken in. It is called the silver dragon cable.

Contacted amazon customer service. They say the could send me greekia pads for free. Very good service. But I also noticed another problem. No sound in left cup. I will return them for refund.

I own the colored one. It raised my appreciation of the K712 and I am not usually one to talk about cables. On the whole I feel the K712 is one of the most overlooked bargains in the market. I own several headphone most more expensive than the K712 yet I still reach for my K712 more times than not. I have another cable on the way from that same vendor for my DT1990 Pro. Yet the cable is interchangable between the 1990 and the 712. As cable vendors go I have ordered and received serveral cables from that very company and all have been a true bargain. Shipping from them is not rapid.

Over the stock cable it was no contest and I am not one to hawk cables. It is an obvious improvement. I also added some fenstrated sheepskin pads and that also raised the bar.

Reviving the thread because I just bought a pair.

Just got them back again. They were my first hifi headphones and i didnt understant the glory back then. It sounded so wide and open that i could not listen them at home with all the home nises from kids etc.
But now.... Damn, after over 25000€ spend on numerous headphones, amps and DACs i do actually like these a lot Fit perfectly with my 6000€ STAX set and LCD-GX gaming sets
Btw what with the foam ring inside the bads? I didnt remember i had them before in there..

This is where I order many pads from. This factory sells a quality product. Nothing against Deniki as they are excellent but I believe the quality from this vendor is similar.
