Just bought IAA01 remote. Happy more than ever. Now I can keep this heavyweight in my pocket and easily operate with remote. Huge help during daily commute.
 
offtopic: can anyone recommend a person or a company in Amsterdam that can do some wire soldering? Specifically I need to reterminate a cable from 3.5mm to 2.5mm plug.

I'm having the AK320 + AMP combo, and I feel it's great balanced out! 

Without the AMP, I feel AK320 is like crap. Haha

Agree! Are u using PRO EQ or Manual EQ? Looks like complicated to set the manual EQ...

I'm not using EQ! Just wanna hear purely from AK's house signature.. 

Also, I'm not too profound in tuning the EQs.

Correct, less aggressive treble. Okay clear. I think CDM can suit me well. I like that it has a 2.5mm balanced in+out.

Decided to try out V5 instead with 6832 tube. Stock tube was about the same level of aggressive treble.
I'm not following on line-out part. Does AK still amplifies sound in this mode? Seems that there's no way to bypass internal amp

V5 has too much hiss on my Oriolus CIEM. This makes V5 practically not usable for sensitive IEMs. That's sad news considering unit dimensions. It would've made a great on a go option.

Nevertheless I like V5 over AK Amp. The price was a bit steep but it's worth it IMO.

I love my AK320 but after the new realease of the A&Ultimate SP1000 I have this on Craigslist NY with my AK70 limited red edition if interested. I guess it is big jump but worth.

Just bought the AK320. Decided against the SP1000. Too big, too heavy and too much "bling bling" for my taste. And I don´t want to fiddle around with the new SD Card Slot.
The AK320 with my FAD PF VIII on the other hand is a dream team.

I prefer AK320 under all circumstances actually. Honestly, I'm not a DSD fan anyway. A/B testing really helps in losing many believes

This may be a very Noobish question but how different is the quality of an HD streaming service like Deezer vs flac files on an AK320? i own a pair of LCD-EX headphones, which are amazing. I've been using them with the Deezer app on my iPhone. Just trying to decide as to whether it's worth the $1200 to buy the AK320.

My AK320 screen is not functioning though I can tell all the other buttons work (except the bottom button since the only function is to return you to the homescreen...)

Do you guys have any ideas?

The screws are extremely weird and of course I can't open it myself (exactly what you'd expect from a $2000 player).

So now I'm hoping that AK will reply and agree to fix it (even if it's at my expense... better than a paperweight) or if I could at least find a way to force it into USB DAC mode then I could still get some use out of it. Any ideas for that last part?
