I guess I'm just normal.

jeez I suck, but I've had hearing issues since I was a baby. My first results were terrible, these were with me sitting totally silent and closing my eyes focusing on nothing but the test.

tone: 77.8%
pitch: 7.5
Rhythm: 76%

Tone: 91.7%
....

for some reason the other tests aren't loading, can anyone help me solve this problem? I hit the buttons but no reaction towards doing so.

I had that problem too, I had to click the links from the first post in the thread to get to the different ones.

Here's my scores:

Quote:

Tonedeaf: 72.2% - Normal
Rhythm: 68.0% Correct - Normal (70% is Very Good)
Pitch test: At 500 Hz, you can reliably differentiate two tones 1.95 Hz apart. (Less than 6 Hz, Normal; Less than 1.5 Hz, Very good)

All in all, fairly average if slightly above average. Only did them once, and used my HD555's for the tests

ToneDeaf-88.9%
AdaptivePitch-2.85
RythmDeaf-72%

I think i could have done better with adaptive pitch but im happy with my results.

tonedeaf - 68
adaptive - 2.1
rhythm - 68

i then gathered a team of 2 guys with perfect pitch and a college cello major, as a team we got:
tonedeaf - 72
adaptive - 0.3
rhythm - 68 (fail)
visual - 90%

its interesting because we talked about these tests and it seems like it would be HARDER for people with very good pitch to do well
1) for the tonedeaf test, they often play common music phrases to make your brain THINK that a certain note will follow, but then lower the pitch by a semitone or something. if you are very educated in music, your brain can superimpose the wrong sounds when you are trying to memorize a phrase
2) for the rhythm test, they often change pitches and keys (without changing rhythms), which can throw off people with perfect pitch

These are some pretty cool tests.

Tone: 83.3%
Adaptive pitch: 1.125Hz 1st time 0.675Hz 2nd time (wearing DT990s)
Rhythm: 96%
L3000.gif

Visual: 70%

I guess the rhythm bit makes sense considering how I produce breakbeat music, and the rest is good because I've been playing the oboe since I was 11 so for about 8 or 9 years now. Although interestingly enough I tried the adaptive pitch another time with mylarone's and noticed I did a lot worse. I then did it with my sister using crappy speakers and it was easier.
The visual thing was a bit weirder, and not so much about music and more about those stupid brain puzzle things.
