Just over a year old. I bet he gets all his vinyl from rubadub records :wink:

  Possibly a tad too mellow for this thread;

Cool mix, but maybe on this thread below... which is anything goes as long as its electronic music

I just deleted one of my mixes couple pages back, as it was off the  techno, electro, underground OP but it's up to you..

When I set the thread up, I really had in mind the harder, darker stuff - proper four-to-the-floor techno bangers - but it became apparent that wasn't always too popular, at least with folks who were posting (more popular with lurkers maybe, who knows), so the scope was widened to cater for more tastes. I agree that it's pointless to overlap with the main electronic thread though, which I think it's fair to say is dominated by house, downtempo, dubstep and IDM.

The underground element was important too - just stuff off the radar - and it's been quite effective there. Can't speak for anyone else, but I've been introduced to quite a lot of artists I'd never heard of before... most recently, Quinoline Yellow and Terrestre! I hope people continue to post, and personally don't care too much what sub-genre it is, but it's probably worth considering before posting, whether it might be better off on the main electronic thread. Peace out. :cool:

Not sure if this track has been posted on this thread or other one...saw someone post about this album on the other thread I think.

I might be mistaken, bit isn't the main electronic (Dubstep & Electronic) thread mostly for the Tiesto van Guettas?

Either way, I'm more Giegling than Berghain. It's not that I dislike faster techno, but I just don't enjoy most of the mixes, mainly due to the lack of proper mixing (more like plain sequencing in Dettman's case). Maybe some Abdulla Rashim? : https://soundcloud.com/abdulla

I've never heard one of Dettman's sets (almost did at the ill-fated Bloc 2012 but the event was shut down before he was due on!), so wouldn't want to comment on his mixing skills, but I've enjoyed some of his work as a producer. Landscape was a good one:

Those JunoPlus podcasts are pretty good. Not sure of the bitrate on them though.

I'm fine with ghetto bitrates, since I'm a peasant. Would rather take hours of new music at vbr/mp3 than no new music at all.

I've posted a lot worse bit-rates on here and the other thread.
