@ExTubeGamer , I am listening to your EQ. Not bad, kind of laid back, V shaped I'd say.

One question. How would you modify this same profile to match the 0-2-0 dip switch setting?
If I were to optimize this preset for 020 dip switch setting I would decrease the gain in the 0-200Hz and 5000Hz area. This will make the sound more mid-focused, I suppose.

But isn't the second switch set to ON supposed to bring the midrange up, already?

Anyways, I think the best question would be:
Do you have a link or a website, where I could start reading a bit about PEQ? Something explaining in a simple manner what all these values mean?

Yes, 020 setting enhances the midrange.

I have learned to use EQ by looking at this graph.

This should be helpful. If you need more info, just head to the autoeq github page.

After spending a long time listening I have finally decided on an EQ setting for my Sands.

DIP-Switches set to 103. This EQ is supposed to be used with crossfeed. My crossfeed is set to 1000Hz with 9dB mix for this EQ setting. If you are not using any crossfeed, simply set a lower gain on the 100Hz and 260Hz filters.

* Pre-gain: -7.00dB * LOW_SHELF 100Hz 5.00dB Q1.00 * PEAK 260Hz 7.00dB Q0.90 * PEAK 1000Hz -2.00dB Q3.00 * PEAK 1400Hz 1.00dB Q2.00 * PEAK 2300Hz -2.00dB Q2.00 * PEAK 3300Hz -2.00dB Q3.00 * PEAK 5000Hz -4.00dB Q0.50 * PEAK 5000Hz 3.00dB Q5.00 * PEAK 7000Hz -2.00dB Q4.00 * PEAK 9000Hz 5.00dB Q4.00

So far I could only get a full seal on my Sands with foam tips. I guess the fit is unusual.

This is the EQ I am currently trying with my Sands. Dip switches 020. I feel that it is a good start, I can at least listen to the Sands for a few hours.

PS: on my Qudelix-5K, I've set the Pre Gain to - 5.8db. Is this correct for these settings?

This should be a correct and very safe setting that fits with most western music. How do you like the resolution of your set?

Thank you for confirming about the Pre Gain!

I am sorry but I cannot speak about the Sands, yet. I will try to clarify this matter, once and for all, from Thursday 9 onwards when I will be off shift for 7 consecutive days. The Sands is the only IEM that imposed EQ to me. With Bad Guy's EQ they sound nice, right now, but I need more time. Right now, I am listening to YouTube and the resolution is excellent. This is important because, as you know, YouTube is not the best source when it comes to sound quality, but for me it is vital because only there I can discover and listen to all the amazing DJ sets, like from EPHIMERA Tulum, for example, or old beloved tunes like from Progressive Classics. So, since YouTube sounds pleasant and revealing for me, I assume Amazon Music Unlimited, as well as my .WAV files will sound even better.

That is encouraging. The Sands is the only IEM that makes me feel almost like an idiot. I paid them, I purchased the PAC cable, it was faulty, I replaced it. And now I am trying to EQ them. I never had to do anything like this before.

It is important for me to bring them to my taste.

And, I also hope/pray/wish that my IMR Rah 2023 will open up and start playing the midrange and treble the way it is supposed to sound.

I thought the Sands was special with EDM?
