If I were to optimize this preset for 020 dip switch setting I would decrease the gain in the 0-200Hz and 5000Hz area. This will make the sound more mid-focused, I suppose.

But isn't the second switch set to ON supposed to bring the midrange up, already?
Anyways, I think the best question would be:
Do you have a link or a website, where I could start reading a bit about PEQ? Something explaining in a simple manner what all these values mean?

Read it, I have ignored the Tansio Mirai so far. It's very interesting, and the design is killer not that it comes before sound, but a well made transparent shell is dope.
After spending a long time listening I have finally decided on an EQ setting for my Sands.
DIP-Switches set to 103. This EQ is supposed to be used with crossfeed. My crossfeed is set to 1000Hz with 9dB mix for this EQ setting. If you are not using any crossfeed, simply set a lower gain on the 100Hz and 260Hz filters.
This is the EQ I am currently trying with my Sands. Dip switches 020. I feel that it is a good start, I can at least listen to the Sands for a few hours.
PS: on my Qudelix-5K, I've set the Pre Gain to - 5.8db. Is this correct for these settings?

I am sorry but I cannot speak about the Sands, yet. I will try to clarify this matter, once and for all, from Thursday 9 onwards when I will be off shift for 7 consecutive days. The Sands is the only IEM that imposed EQ to me. With Bad Guy's EQ they sound nice, right now, but I need more time. Right now, I am listening to YouTube and the resolution is excellent. This is important because, as you know, YouTube is not the best source when it comes to sound quality, but for me it is vital because only there I can discover and listen to all the amazing DJ sets, like from EPHIMERA Tulum, for example, or old beloved tunes like from Progressive Classics. So, since YouTube sounds pleasant and revealing for me, I assume Amazon Music Unlimited, as well as my .WAV files will sound even better.
That is encouraging. The Sands is the only IEM that makes me feel almost like an idiot. I paid them, I purchased the PAC cable, it was faulty, I replaced it. And now I am trying to EQ them. I never had to do anything like this before.
It is important for me to bring them to my taste.
And, I also hope/pray/wish that my IMR Rah 2023 will open up and start playing the midrange and treble the way it is supposed to sound.
