Spend my weekend doing this Crazy stiff cable :) using 4x 4n OCC silver solid core 28AWG , :scream::scream: not good for traveling but sound Crazily good :) Can only use at home but i am very happy with the sound quality of the silver cable.

Very nice DIY cable you did there! Glad to hear it sounds good for you:)

I love this IEM paired with HiFi-M8.

I'm just curious since I have the CMB version of HiFi-M8 if it's possible to replace the stock cable with a balanced cable configuration. Will that make any difference in the SQ? Will it be worth it?

Yes i think it would certainly be worth going balanced. I have found it to make a positive improvement in performance.

Not for the H200, just for all my Westone and MMCX connector IEMs and using the same amps balanced output vs single ended i do find the balanced to sound better. I have also used a range of full sized headphone in balanced vs single ended and have achieved some very dramatic results!

For me these are the large Sony hybrid noise isolation tips and large black stock tips.

Thanks

Any idea if anyone does custom cabling for H-200?

I'd send an email to Brian over at BTG audio. He has recabled the GR07, and if he can manage with a dynamic like that, I'll bet the H200 is do-able.

Interestingly enough, Brian got back to me today and told me that the connectors needed for a new cable are proprietary for T Peos which means for the time being only OEM upgrades will be available. At least through BTG Audio.

.... And there goes my hope of a custom Silver balanced cable for the H-200. Lol

Instead of starting an entirely new thread, could you guys drop some comments about which tips you found to be the best, stock or non?

I pretty quickly settled on the Sony MH1C large tips. Nice amount of bass, and the occasional sibilance is gone.
