Sorry to hear that. Not cool of them, if you ask me. I'd certainly be upset, and would quote them their own post, in which they clearly stated that "Its retail price is USD250 (included shipping fee by EMS)," only to update it earlier today with the statement shown in blue.

http://www.head-fi.org/t/660213/t-peos-new-iem-h-200-released-preselling-limited-100-units-be-closed-down-on-may-20-2013#post_9362177

EDIT: wrong about the last sentence above, but they should honestly still honor their $250 price IMO, since it's still mentioned in their original post...

That update was really today? I thought it was there when I read that page on Friday?

They may have just cleaned it up a bit. I kind of remb the blue saying $250 but also "(excluded the shipping fee)"

I think they change it today/yesterday to "$270(included the shipping fee usd20)"

That FR graph looks pretty dang close to the Yamaha EPH-100 (remember, the T-PEOS looks more drastic because the graph has only been smoothed by 1/24 an octave vs. GoldenEars 1/3 octave smoothing so the dips will look more exaggerated): http://en.goldenears.net/8861

That is exactly how I remember it.

They do look very similar.  There is an entirely second aspect that you side-stepped though, decay.  Decay, IMO, makes a much bigger difference than regular frequency response.  FYI, the 1/3 octave smoothing will make the dips look less exaggerated (it'll smooth out dips and make them look smaller).

If this is how a $200 IEM sounds like, I couldn't comprehend how good the top tier IEMs can be!

After 10mins of straight Out-of-box experience I felt I should have sold my XBA3... The Bassos still hold a special place in my collection tho. Let the burn in commence...

:D

I tried and fell face first into brick wall...

I was going to ask them to do $260 with following conditions. If I like them, I paypal them an extra $20 buck, $280 total. If I didn't, $260 is all they get. Sound fair given he didn't want to move from $270?

It's better to try it out than spend the rest of your hifi life wondering how it could have been. You can always resell them if you end up disappointed. I'd be willing to lease these for $20 just to experience these for a week... But that's just my opinion.

But how much would I lose on the resale? Should I just got strait for ASG 2's? Arrg :grimacing:! Ekes review of them seem spot on. We both like the GR07's...

Thank you for the offer! Let me think about it.
