I noticed a little more warmth perhaps, going from 8 to 12. Was only a short comparison however as it became defective and is now back with my dealer awaiting assessment.Has anyone discovered what the differences in sound are using the selectable impedances on the HA200 with the Solitaire P?

The differences must be very subtle. I don't think I can hear a changeI noticed a little more warmth perhaps, going from 8 to 12. Was only a short comparison however as it became defective and is now back with my dealer awaiting assessment.
This is DIY stand broWhat equipment stand are you using in your picture? Tks.
Planar headphones have constant impedance, so shouldn't make a very audible difference other than volume. The differences must be very subtle. I don't think I can hear a change
Just DIY aluminum standWhat equipment stand are you using in your picture? Tks.
Is it a brand that you put together, or do you literally build ( make the parts) yourself? Tks.Just DIY aluminum stand

It's not DIY off a CNC or something like a kit, it's a retail headphone stand from China that arrives unassembled. You don't have to glue the headphone pad on or anything. Just screw the top and bottom together.

This is just one version I found, they've been out for at least 4-5 years and come under different brand names. I have 4 or 5 of them. They're decent and cheap. I had a bad one with a stripped screw, and just like the one in the picture, the synthetic leather on the top pad has worn on 3 of mine. I'd buy them again.

I was referring to the equipment stand in the attached picture, not the HP stand. Tks.It's not DIY off a CNC or something like a kit, it's a retail headphone stand from China that arrives unassembled. You don't have to glue the headphone pad on or anything. Just screw the top and bottom together.

Those are decent headphone stands, though

Has anyone tried the Mcintosh MHA150? Similarly priced...somewhat similarly priced, compared to say...Bartok I guess. Is there a large difference? The blue VU meter sure looks nice, just like the HA200.

I love the sol p straight out of my dave but have been experimenting with my different amps and recently have come to really enjoy them out of my formula s/powerman combo...initially I thought the dave alone was better but now I am amending that a bit, these HP's are quickly moving up toward the top of my list of the very best HP
