Thanks!Certainly not, especially not on modern tube amps like the Wa33 or my Octave V16

I wouldn't call the Empyrean muddy but certainly agree on that it is muddier than the Solitaire P.I definitely wouldn't call the Solitaire muddy, that is reserved for the Empyrean. Sorry @ThanatosVI.
*Cough* Pathos InPol Ear *Cough*Thanks! The P isn’t too “warm” with tubes?
There seems to be a larger number of 1266 owners here (at least from the equipment list in the footnote), is it because the solitaire p is just priced way off (less accessible) or the 1266 is just generally the more favored headphone?
Or generally speaking, everyone here is an old fart and the 1266 has been out longer than the P *runs and hide*There seems to be a larger number of 1266 owners here (at least from the equipment list in the footnote), is it because the solitaire p is just priced way off (less accessible) or the 1266 is just generally the more favored headphone?

In europe it's actually the other way round in terms of pricingThere seems to be a larger number of 1266 owners here (at least from the equipment list in the footnote), is it because the solitaire p is just priced way off (less accessible) or the 1266 is just generally the more favored headphone?

And my bias of truth, everything sounds muddier compared to the TC. Except SR1a...damnit.I wouldn't call the Empyrean muddy but certainly agree on that it is muddier than the Solitaire P.
P was best on KR2A3 Takasuki 274B and EH gold pins on 33. Went through ACME, 300B 2.5 mesh and KR came out on top. 1266 is not heavy or strange to wear. The thing rest on top and does not fall off. Went through D8000 PRO Susvara and LCD 4 but they couldn't change my mind about liking the 1266 the most.

It could be warm if choosing tubes that lean warm. Thanks! The P isn’t too “warm” with tubes?
Using GEC A2900 input tube and 596 rectifier it is not warm nor analytical...........just right IMO.
If I want it to be more revealing and detailed, I choose the Norne S-3 silver cable with the P and Susvara.
Try this with the P!
