I’m putting you on the spot. If you had to choose one between the two…
I like Crimson better but it’s really tough. U12t has more of a classic sound and does treble better IMO. I like Crimson’s bass and soundstage.

For me it's better dynamics, better bass. Treble is more energetic than U12T, this can go either way depending on ones preference.

I did. Kept the Crimson...
Good to hear. I see you have Lake People and ZMF gear. I had a handful of LP and Violectric amplifiers and the first four or five @zach915m headphones until I bought a Clear and got into iems. Zach’s cans sound and look fantastic.

Are the Crimson or Annihilator getting most of your time?

Oh. Holy crap. You have an HE-500. Do you still? I had two. My biggest regrets in this game… selling the Trio and the HE-500. I LOVED that thing.

True, Crimson does have better dynamics. I forgot about that.

Crimson. It suits my preferences a little better. Annihilator’s bass is kind of middling for its price which bothers me a little bit but some people like it.

I’m eyeing a Storm and I’m hoping it’s good across the frequency spectrum. I hear it does bass and mids well so the only question mark is its treble.

This morning, I noticed that Symphonium's website was going to open up preorders tomorrow with a ship date of mid-late October.

Then I went over to headphones.com and asked their chat support about the estimated shipping date for their Crimson preorders. The support person said that Symphonium was going to send their shipment next week and the preorders would be shipped out in 1-2 weeks depending on how soon they get their shipment.

I've just put in an order and at the shipping method screen, it showed that it would arrive by USPS next Wednesday. I doubt that's accurate, but it would be great if it was.

I'm crossing my fingers too...for...reasons. :smiling_imp:

Just to be sure, it doesn’t really sound much like U12T does it? I’m expecting something VERY special based on what I’ve read and while the U12T is a great set its a little long in the tooth.

@Smirk 24 sold me on the Crimson. I was in the market for the Elysian Annihilator, but his review of the Annihilator included a comparison with the Crimson.

Better bass. Better soundstage and imaging. Extended, but spicy treble at half the cost. Seems like everyone else had a similar opinion. Sounds like something I'd be into.
