Hi guys, I've been using my Skullcandy- Skullcrushers Gridlock without any problems for about 3 months now. Just last week, it started to smell like sweat (the ear cups). I've read on other headphone forums that you should wipe them down with alcohol or windex (?) based cleaners. How do I get rid of the smell?

Try removing and gently washing the pads and whatever other soft non-plastic material you can find.

...If you're curious about anything you can do to improve the sound, I'd recommend the popular Skullcrusher trashcan mod.

Some may suggest dousing them in petrol and....but jokes aside some of these threads might help.

The last one is worth the price of admission just for the picture of NikonGod with his R10s
(fair warning re: cannot unsee!)

Thanks! I guess I'll try the Febreeze and Perfume method. Wow, that guy must really love his headphones. :D And yes, it's very hard to get that image out of my head.

The pads aren't removable. Would rubbing them with a soapy washcloth work?

I've been window-shopping for better quality headphones, but I just like the design. :D
