Hi guys, Long time since i posted here but iam interested in buying a good pair of iem's ! I currently own a pair of full sized he500s and i also own tdk ba200 iem. Now maybe the he500's have spoiled me, i dont know, but i just never really got in to the tdk's . Its like there missing something ... they sound a little dead is the only way i can describe it! So iam hoping to find something thats at least more pleasing to my ears then the tdk's and also something that can somewhat challenge the he500s if possible ?

My budget is reasonable but not huge! Maybe €350 / $450 but thats my maximum . I really cannot afford to go over that!

Iam looking for something that sounds a little surprising! Like when you put them in your ears , hear the sound and go ooooh i didnt expect that ha Good crisp sound, Great vocals, good treble but not too bright as at louder volumes it gets to harsh and i usually listen to my music somewhat loud! Good punchy bass but bass is not as important to me as other characteristics! I dont have a particular genre as i listen to anything and everything but if i had to choose i would say i listen to acoustic / pop the most!

Also important i should mention is that they dont require amping as ill be using these mostly for casual use with my sony z3

Have a look at the Fidue A83s - great balance and detail, fantastic build.

That's why I gave you the Peon Audio link. Email them and ask for a quote.

Iam looking into both the dn 2000 and the fidue a83 at the moment . Anyone else have any other suggestions ? Bear in mind that its important that all these iems are considered upgrades over the tdk ba200's which i didnt particularly like! Felt they were a little boring!

323 iems reviewed, and listed according to price. That would be where I would look, as those guys are always discussing the latest iem and would have well some awesome suggestions

Cheers mate! So far i have been looking at dn 2000. fidue a83 and stage diver sd2 although i can get the dn 2000 for €250 with the fideu a83s just a few euro more. The stage divers are €360 so not sure if they would be worth the extra cash ! Iam not even sure if any of these suit my tastes as i have no way trying them out but once i choose one thats more lively and an upgrade over the tdk ba200s then ill be happy :)
